Iona “Onie” Coralee Elizabeth {McDivitt} Davis, age 91 Received her wings on 12/01/2025
Formerly of Burdett, NY, residing in Arcadia, Florida at the time of her passing.
Onie was born to Jesse and Ruth [Heidrich] on June 4th, 1934, in Bradford, Pa., and raised in Eldred, Pa.
She married Richard Davis in Elmira, NY, on Feb.28, 1957, and raised 5 boys in Burdett, NY.
Prior to moving to New Mexico to pursue a career in scouting, 1st at Camp “Wehinahpay Mountain camp”, then to Carlsbad Aquatics Camp. After retirement, they traveled, working as seasonal camp managers in the northeast for the summer and south for the winters. They settled in Arcadia, Fl.
She is survived by her siblings, Grace McDivitt, Eldred Pa., Elmer and Nancy McDivitt of Eldred Pa., and Cora and Richard Darrin Orion, Mi. 5 sons, Gregory and Ina Kay Davis, Ak. Richard II and Bonita Davis, St. Petersburg, FL. Russell Davis Watkins Glen, NY Scott and Heide Davis, Bolton Landing, NY, Paul and Sara Davis, Platte City, MO. and a stepdaughter, Renee and Kris Magruson, Warren Pa. 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 9 siblings: Willis, Joseph, Robert, Onalee Dieterle, Otto, Ivan, Connie Schneider, June, and Jerry.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Millennium Funeral Home in Okeechobee, Fl.
She will be laid to rest in Sarasota National Cemetery with her husband.
At her request, there will be a celebration of life held at her church, Trinity Global Methodist Church in Arcadia, Fl. on Feb. 21 at 1 pm.
