Ralph Lee Baker was born July 20, 1940 to Edward and Addie Baker in Owsley County, KY. He went to be with Jesus in Heaven on February 14, 2026.
Waiting for him in heaven is his mother and dad, Edward and Addie Baker; brothers Carl Baker, Clarence Baker, Edward Baker Jr.; sisters Margie Keith, Fannie Mae Owens, Lucy Rinck, Ann Mosley, and Wanda Rutherford. Stepdaughters Brenda Combs and Barbara Barnes.
Survived by daughter Diana Dunn (Eugene); stepdaughter Beverly Brown (Donnie); stepson Bruce DuLong (Laura); son-in-law John Barnes; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and friends, too many to count. He was loved by all. Also survived by his wife Anna Grace Abbott Baker, the love of his life. They had 34 years of happiness. Ralph always said God brought them together.
Ralph served 4 years of military service in the Air Force. He loved his country. He was a member of Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church and served as a Deacon for many years. He loved his church.
Ralph retired as supervisor of a water system in Kentucky in 1992. He then became a traveler, fisherman, and musician. He was good at all. Ralph and Grace traveled the USA, Alaska, Newfoundland, and most of Canada. They spread joy and made friends wherever they went, playing their music.
Donations may be made to St. Jude, Gideons Bibles, or the charity of your choice.
A celebration of life will be held at Buckhead Ridge Baptist Church on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Gordon Rankin officiating. Military Honors will be presented by the Air Force Military Honor Guard.
A fellowship lunch will follow the service.
